I just got my phone back. I guess they couldn't fix it so they have me a brand new one. Now I have to save all my numbers and set it up all over again.
I went out on a ship on a whale watching tour. It was pretty sweet. The whales are heading up to Alaska right now, so there are less and less every week, but we still managed to see a quite a few. I didn't have a decent camera, just my chintzy phone camera, so I didn't really get any good pictures. I am looking around right now to get a camera, not sure if I will get a SLR or just a point and shoot.

I'm at sitting at the bar of the Tasty Crust cafe, home of the "World Famous Pancakes". The funny thing is they call them hotcakes on the menu. I am finishing up a plate of the banana variety.
So here I am. A little over a week into this trip and I've already experienced more so far than I expected to. Aside from that, I've met more people from all ends of the earth than maybe I have in my entire life. Right now I'm sharing a room with a cool guy from Milan, Italy, a rich fellow from Ireland, a surfer that is here with his buddy, both from Norway.
Right now at the hostel there are people from Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Canada, and a few other places too.

It's a beautiful day in paradise. Yesterday I got to snorkel with sea turtles, schools of fish and squid. On the way home, I watched whales breach and blow water straight high up in the air.

Maui plus 1

Delta robbed me for 560 bucks to ship my surfboard and one other bag. (This was in addition to my 400 dollar ticket I already paid for.) I don't know about you, but that's ridiculous. After I got upset with the lady "helping" me the supervisor came over and then said because I was being difficult I'd have to pay 640 bucks instead. I had to apologize and beg for forgiveness just to get the price back to 560. I laugh now because I was really making a scene and it probably looked something funny to everyone around.
After getting picked for a thorough inspection at the security checkpoint, I connected in Phoenix and finally made it to Kahului this afternoon around 3.
Right now I'm sitting on a balcony in Lahaina with TC and some random girl that hitched a ride with us at the hostel.

I just sold Rambo (my jeep) and my motorcycle as well. Hope I have some money left over after paying the oversize/overweight fees at the airport. . .
